Olaf guest lectures on international sales and marketing in real estate
On 31 March 2018, Olaf Duensing was a guest lecturer at the “international sales and marketing in real estate” training course seminar in Bangkok, Thailand. Over the course of his three hour lecture and Q&A session he provided insights into the legal ownership and transfer of real estate in Thailand, as well as, tax tips and financial advice related to both.

Olaf and Jerrold visit THAC with CIArb Regional Director
On 14 December 2017 CIArb’s Asia Regional Director, Camilla Godman (FCIArb), joined CIArb-Thailand’s Vice Chair, Jerrold Kippen (FCIArb) and Executive Committee member, Olaf Duensing (FCIArb) in meeting with representatives of the Executive of the Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC), Niki Balani, Ampa Vanichchatchawan, and Listen Chong to discuss future cooperation between CIArb and THAC.
Jerrold attends CIArb’s 2017 Branch Symposium
Thailand Branch Vice Chair, Jerrold Kippen (FCIArb) attended the 2017 Branch Symposium in London 14-15 November 2017 on behalf of the Thailand Branch. Branch Chairs or representatives from all 38 global branches were in attendance along with CIArb’s Board of Trustees and Board of Management. The delegates discussed the status of and how to improve the following:
- Institutes values
- Communication
- New courses, new AFL, RPLs
- Governance and the problem with surplus funds
- Future, building the membership
